What Is the Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a Commonwealth Government payment designed to make childcare more affordable for Australian families. It reduces your out-of-pocket childcare costs by covering a percentage of your fees, paid directly to your childcare provider.
Depending on your circumstances, eligible families may receive up to 90% of childcare fees, helping children access consistent, high-quality early education and care.

The 3 Day Guarantee ensures that eligible families can access consistent and affordable early learning, regardless of their work or study commitments. Introduced to support children’s development and give families greater flexibility, this initiative guarantees a minimum level of subsidised care for all CCS-eligible families.
